Ivy Black grew up in Columbus, Georgia. She was never a stranger in the kitchen, as her father loves to cook. He used to make fresh dough and give her four-year-old hands a tiny piece of dough to knead.
Ivy grew up in the kitchen and learning from her father's favorite hobby, cooking. In high school, she began learning family recipes from her grandmothers during the holidays. She began with simple recipes like cooking vegetables and deserts. Mastering her mother's macaroni and cheese recipe at Thanksgiving became her staple dish for the holidays. Over time, she put her stamp on her family's traditional recipes. Currently, Ivy lives in Oklahoma where she continues to cook for her husband and two children. Her passion in the kitchen keeps her family smiling and the neighborhood smelling like Sunday dinner. At potlucks, all of her dishes are sought after and disappear before the event is over because: ain't no recipes like Ivy's. |
